Christophe returned to racing at Tokyo Racecourse after a one-month absence. Last weekend he rode a total of three horses, including a G1 ride on Ascoli Piceno.

"I've finally been able to return to racing after my fall in Dubai. I didn't feel any pain from the injury, so I was in good condition. It was unfortunate that Ascoli Piceno couldn't secure a clear path in the straight, but all three horses I rode ran very well. I want to get back to the winner's circle as soon as possible, and get back into a good rhythm."
This weekend, he will ride in the Victoria Mile. Regarding his jockey, Fierce Pride, he said, "I felt she was a very good horse when she won the Turquoise Stakes. In her previous race, the Nakayama Himba Stakes, she bit the bit during the race and was unable to show her finishing speed, but I think the conditions of this 1600m race against fillies will suit her. I haven't had a chance to ride her in training at Miho, but I have confidence in the Kunieda stable when it comes to the horse's condition." It was clear that he has a strong respect for trainer Kunieda, with whom he has had a close relationship.

After training at Ritto Training Center, Christophe photographed his new collection at TCC Japan with jockeys Nozomi Iwata and Naho Furukawa. TCC Japan's mission is "Enriching Society with Horses," and they engage in various horse-related activities, including supporting retired racehorses (the Retired Horse Fan Club TCC). In 2022, they donated a portion of their sales from "CL by C. Lemaire." Christophe photographed the horses at TCC's stables, saying, "I wore polo shirts and cardigans featuring my favorite horse, Le Havre, winning the French Derby. I'm grateful to Nozomi and Naho for coming over after training and modeling for the brand." Jockey Iwata, who participated in the photoshoot, also gave feedback on the items, saying, "My favorite is the black shirt with Lemaire's logo in white. I also wore the pants, and they felt just like jockey pants on raceday. I want people to experience what it's like to be a jockey while wearing them." The photos taken this time will be available to view on social media and our website soon.

A pop-up store in Tokyo began on May 8th. We hope that everyone in the Kanto region will come and visit us. We hope that Christophe will achieve victory soon.
