On August 16th, at Deauville Racecourse in France, in the Prix Guillaume d'Ornano (G2, 2000m turf), Christophe rode 'Alohiali'i to a stunning breakaway victory in a small field of five. "It's been about 11 years since I last rode at Deauville Racecourse. The weather was great that day, and there were many people at the racecourse, so the race was held in a wonderful atmosphere. This was my first time riding 'Alohiali'i, but he ran even better than I expected," he said, thrilled at having won this important step race to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The following day, on the 17th, jockey Lemaire rode Ascoli Piceno to a 6th place finish in the Prix Jacques Le Marois (G1, 1600m turf), also held at Deauville Racecourse. "Ascoli Piceno has consistently achieved good results in overseas races up until now, but this time he was unable to show his full potential. Although he was in a good position early in the race, he was unable to keep up when the pace suddenly picked up," said jockey Lemaire, his frustration evident as he analyzed the cause of his defeat.

At the World All-Star Jockeys (WASJ) held at Sapporo Racecourse, he competed in heated battles with top jockeys from around the world. "It was very exciting to be able to compete in Sapporo with jockeys from around the world. I've known Alexis Badel, who is also from France, since he was a child, so I was happy to be able to race with him. After the race, we went golfing together and talked a lot. He's very positive and energetic."In addition, many of the overseas jockeys were riding in Japan for the first time, so the participants competed in the race with mutual respect.

On August 25th, a fan meeting for "CL by C. Lemaire" was held at Stampy's Cafe & Dining Bar in Chuo Ward, Sapporo. This premium event was limited to 60 pairs of people, selected by lottery from those who purchased products from the brand's official website.

"Following on from last year, we held the talk show at the same location in Sapporo. It was very moving to see fans come from as far away as Okayama. Everyone was wearing branded clothing and we were really happy to receive so much positive feedback." As a special guest at the event, assistant trainer Abe Takanori (affiliated with Kimura Tetsuya's stable in Miho), who was in charge of training Equinox, was invited. Fans listened intently to the behind-the-scenes stories that they don't usually get to hear. Lemaire's scheduled races will be in Japan for the time being. "I will be concentrating fully on the races in Japan. From now on, there will be many step races leading up to the big races, so this is an important time," he concluded on a positive note, as preparations for both jockeys and horses have begun for the autumn G1 season.
